Sandsgate Lodge

5.0 · 18 reviews · Spinsters Rock, Dartmoor National Park

A modern hideaway for two — or four, with a fire pit and the moor for company

Up to 4 guests 2 bedrooms · 3 beds 2 bathrooms

Tucked into the same stretch of Dartmoor countryside as Sandsgate House, the Lodge is its quieter, more intimate sibling — a contemporary two-bedroom retreat for couples, small families and anyone in need of stillness.

French doors open onto a south-facing patio with views toward the moors. There's a wood-burning stove for the colder months, a sheltered fire pit for marshmallows after dark, and a stone in the wall said to be home to the local pixies. The dramatic Dartmoor landscape is the back garden.
